BIDDING REQUIREMENTSInformation Required in order to Receive a Bid!
The Following information is required to seek a bid.
- The Title of the Art Plate is Crucial.
- The year it was minted or commissioned.
- Mint or producing Factory (Reco, Bradford, Franklin, Danbury, Etc.).
- If carried by the Bradford Exchange, the plate should have a Bradex number (looks like this "84-K41-6.1").
- Individual plate number (usually in inked), This identifies the plate and is issued only to a single copy at production.
- Collection Series name if known. Most plates are a part of a series by the same artist.
- Artist name is crucial.
- Certificates of Authenticity needed to add to the value (Usually 50% +). This is a separate Paper certificate issued by the mint or factory and lists the individual plate number. The same information may appear on the reverse of the plate but that is not the same thing. This is like a title of a car; shows ownership.
- Original boxes (Styrofoam or cardboard) are important, as adds to the value of the art piece.
This information is needed to make a fair offer to you and for me. Thank you and please get back to me soon.
